I'm Going to the Warped Tour!!!!!!

but i'm not going as a concert go-er.....

i'm going as a volunteer/representative of Takeover Records......

Hey Takeover Teamers!

The time has finally come. Warped tour sign ups! Takeover has some amazing things planned for Warped this year. First of all, we will be sharing a booth/tent with The Militia Group, so you can go to one booth and get 2 awesome labels. We are also bringing back the hugely successful Sign My Band Contest, and our sponsor this year is PureVolume! So if you’re in a band, be sure to drop your demo off at the Takeover booth, and tell your friends!

With that said, please read the following carefully. Below are all the Warped dates (minus the LA area ones, those are reserved for Takeover interns). We will provide a free ticket for the first 2 street teamers to respond saying they would like to cover a certain date. If you commit to covering a Warped tour date, then you are committing to helping out Takeover for the day. You are saying you will arrive early, meet up with the Takeover staff on the road, help promote by passing out stickers, samplers, hang up posters, help work the booth, etc. Of course you will get to watch your favorite bands play, but if you just want to spend the day hanging out and seeing every band play, then I don’t suggest you sign up. We do need your help though, and it’s a great chance to be apart of the Warped tour and Takeover.

so that's how i'm going......i replied to the e-mail with the salt lake city date that i wanted to go to and i just got a response back saying:

Ok, I have you down for that date. More info to come closer to the date of the show. Thanks!!

i was really undecided about going to the Warped Tour.....i don't really know the bands that are playing......but when i got the e-mail for the sign up with Takeover.....i figured....."why the hell not?"......besides i really like being "behind" the scenes anyway and i'll prolly have a good chance mingling with up and coming bands or even famous bands i really don't know.....lol
