Movie Review: Constantine

i hadn't been to the theaters in almost two weeks and i was starting to go through withdrawls......so i convinced my cousin to take me to a movie so i could get my fix......

yesterday i watched CONSTANTINE.......it was alright......it reminded me a lot of blade and buffy the vampire slayer......but instead of vampires, it was demons......especially the part where there's a room full of demons and constantine sets off the fire sprinklers which is full of holy water and starts melting the demons......reminded me of the blood bath in the blade.......and i didn't know holy water worked on both demons and vampires......anyway.....keanu reeves is the "demon hunter" john constantine trying to buy his way into heaven......he goes around performing exorists and sending the demons back to hell where they belong......rachel wiess is also in this movie.......the storyline was alright, a man trying to save himself from an eternity of hell by doing some demon slaying......and his ability to "crossover" into hell using a turkey pan of water and a cat is pretty cool......the movie has a few moments of dark humor which was good but the special effects reminded me a lot of the matrix......the stopping of time and whatnot......i could seriously hear in the back of my mind "forget it neo, the matrix has you" when he was fighting the demons.......overall it was an alright movie.......i wouldn't mind seeing it again......i did however wonder why most movies about the devil deals with catholism......
