Hey everyone!

I made it to Iraq in one piece, although a bit later than planned. We got delayed a couple of times before we were able to leave Qatar. We’ve been in Iraq for two days now and I am settled into my routine here. I am in charge of the unit armory for the first rotation on day shift, so I don’t see much of the sun right now. Things are rather quiet around this place, although we are able to hear lots of action coming from the nearby army posts early in the morning. The Apaches have to fly over our tents to get to the Baghdad hot spots, so we get to hear them when they take off. There is not a whole lot here right now, but leadership is working to get more facilities in place. We’ll see if that happens before we leave. There’s not much else to tell right now. I am pretty much just working my long days and going to bed when I get done. I’ll send something else out next week to let everyone know how things are going, but I expect it will be more of the same. Bye for now.
