hmmm......part 2
well to continue my thursday night......
i got home......and was still upset.....but too exhausted to do anything about it......so i vegged in front of the tv, waiting to see if bryan would call.....i watched the time go by as i watched tv......and realized that bryan must have went out after the movie after all......which was good......i'm glad he went out......wouldn't want him cancel his celebration on the account of me......and i was relieved that he didn't......
then my brother came home from work......and was saying that star wars came out and that he wanted to go see it.....i told him there would be no way in hell that we could get tickets, since it was opening day.......but he convinced me to go and check......by then it was 10pm......and was thinking that henry was crazy to think we could actually see this movie on opening day without pre-ordered tickets......so we got in the car......cos basically i didn't want to sit there anymore thinking about the whole situation and whatnot......we drove over to the our favorite local theater.....and low and behold......the movie was sold out......
on the way back to the car i noticed how good of a night it was......cool breeze blowing.......stars faintly glowing in the ambionic sky......and i could see the lights of the downtown in the distance......and then i realized i didn't want to go home and feel sorry for myself......so i told henry that i felt like driving around......he was okay with that......and said that if i felt like driving around.......why not drive over to another theater.......so to humor him......i drove over to another big theater about 15 minutes away......i was telling henry that they're probably sold out too......but he wanted to check.......so i pulled up to the front door and told henry to check and i'd wait in the car......he was in there a few minutes while i watched star war fans walk in and out of the theater.......yeah, you could pick them out in a line up.......some wore star war shirts.......others wore darth vader costumes......some had light sabers strapped to their waist like a cellphone......and some girls had the famous two bun hairdo over each ear.......i just grinned and shook my head......
henry finally came back to the car......WITH TICKETS!!!!......i was sooooo shocked.......it wasn't sold out......and it started at 11:30pm......so we had an hour before the movie started......i parked the car.......and we went inside and waited in the lobby......it was pretty empty......not even 50 people......there i told him about the episode of CSI that i watched earlier.......it was a really good season finale episode directed by quentin tarantino......and while i was telling him......he watched the star wars fans walk around.......at about 11:10 we decided to get in line for drinks (no popcorn - was still depressed and i don't eat when i'm depressed)......and the concessions clerk asked us if we were going to see star wars......and we told him we were......and then he asked if we saw the line......and henry was all like "aw man, there's a line??".......and the clerk said, there's always a line for star wars......henry worried that we wouldn't get good seats.......we walked over to the ticket person......and gave him our tickets and we asked if there was a line.......and he pointed to a group of noisy people and told us the end of the line is around the corner.......henry was like......"crap".......but when we got closer to the line.......we were pleasantly suprised yet again.......turning the corner we saw about 15 people standing there.......this was good.......
we stood in line for a few minutes......and then were let into the theater.......henry and i got our favorite seats and was excited that we actually got into star wars on opening night without pre-ordering tickets......and the theater was big and not even half way full......we sat there for about 10 minutes talking about stuff that happened.......i told him how i was going to be losing my job......and how i cried and cried.......and that i've had the biggest headache for the last few hours.......he just sighed.......and i could tell he was worried about me.......and then he told me i should have taken something for my headache instead of just letting it be.......i've been soooo upset, that i didn't even think about that.......and then the theaters dimmed and the movie trailers started.......
STAR WARS: EPISODE THREE REVENGE OF THE SITH was a GREAT movie........it explained everything......and connected all the star war movies together........answered all the questions that i had......and *I* was not disappointed.......i don't wanna ruin it for anyone.......but it was great......i will definately be seeing this movie over and over again......
anyway......after the movie......i went home and fell right asleep......granted it was almost 3am and i had been crying all day......i was so tired i fell right to sleep.......
FRIDAY May 20:
i spent the morning looking for my cellphone......i know i didn't take it into the theater when i watched star wars......so i must have left it in the trunk......so on my way to work......i look on my cellphone......and see that i missed a call and i have a voicemail waiting......i check who's call i missed......and it was bryan.......he called while i was in the movie.......i checked my voicemail and he's telling me that he decided to go out after the movie after all and reminded me that he would call on his way home, and he did......he was on his way home at 2:30am with work coming up for him in about 3 1/2 hours......and that he was wasted but all good......and then continued on with his schedule on when we would be able to talk again......it made me feel good that he remembered me......and that someone out there was thinking about me......
so i get to work.......sit down at my desk.....check my emails.......pleasantly surpised that my friend doug emailed me out of the blue......he does that......it'll be months when i wouldn't hear from him and then he'll just pop back up.....i quickly sent him a reply when the vp of administration came over to talk to me.......and told me that he heard my last day was going to be june 10......and then he continued on to say that laying me off had nothing to do with me......and to not take it personal.......and that it was a shame that they couldn't keep me......and i told him that i would have worked parttime if the company couldn't keep me on fulltime......and then he went on to say that everything is still up in the air......and that he wished he didn't have to lose me.......and that if i needed time off to got job hunting or to go to interviews to let him know......
after that......i got a call from the director at my college......i told her that they were closing the agency down.....and that i would need her help to find me a new job.......and she stopped me.......she already had a job for me.......she's been raving about me for months to other travel agencies and for months they've been hounding her to get me to consider working for them......i remembered that she's been trying to get me to go to these other places......but i've been sooooo happy at my present job.......so when i told her that i was now in the market.......she said she'd make some calls......and that she'd get back to me.......
an hour or two went by......i'm working on stuff for clients......and also working on my commission report......when the vp of administration called me into his office.......
......stay tuned for the conclusion in part 3
