regularly schedule program

okay........there was a big chemical spill from a train yesterday so they had to shut down the WHOLE freeway down IN BOTH direction for hours, including the speghetti bowl......("the speghetti bowl" is the name of the freeway interchanges in the city).......it was chemicals with an acidic properties where even the fumes would do significant damage to lungs and throat.......there was an also an evacuation of a few city blocks but those were mostly businesses (which were mostly closed anyway cos it was sunday) and a few residential areas (where mostly everyone wasn't at home cos they were in chuch).......

......AND IT DID NOT EFFECT ME AT ALL......

but what really was annoying was trying to watch a tv show and the news stations kept interupting with "breaking news" every 10 minutes......reporting the SAME thing.......it was making me mad yeah know......it wasn't THAT big of a deal to be reporting every 10 minutes with......"THE FREEWAY IS STILL CLOSED WE NOW RETURN YOU TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAM".......

then 10 minutes later......"we have BREAKING news, the freeway is STILL closed......we'll be back if there are any developments and we'll return you so your regularly schuduled program"

10 minutes later......."we interrupt your progam with BREAKING news......the freeway is STILL closed and crews are working quickly but carefully to get the freeway back open, we'll let you know for any further developements and return you to your regularly scheduled program......."

grrrrr

it was driving me nuts......the spill happened a little after noon......and i went about my day......and by the evening......it was still BREAKING news....... i was about to BREAK someone......

i mean, how many times can you "break" the same news over and over again????

and i now return you to your regularly scheduled day
