double standards gotta go....

this whole "if-a-girl-sleeps-around-she's-a-slut-but-if-a-guy-sleeps-around-he's-a-player" attitude gots to go....

if a guy sleeps around as much as a girl who is considered a "slut" does....that man should be referred to as a "man-whore"....and sometimes he is....the thing that gets me is when a girl is called a SLUT, it's a put down....when a guy is called a PLAYER or MAN-WHORE, it's almost like a prestigious title to be worn proudly as he struts down the catwalk for everyone to see....while SLUTS are shamefully ridiculed and thrown to the wayside like a used condom....

also when people see single mothers....it's sad *boo-hoo*....but single fathers are cute....(the movies jerry mcguire vs jersey girl is a good example-well, maybe not the greatest, but one example)

also it seems that science and techonolgy is advancing in some areas and seriously lacking in others....for example....we can put a man on the moon....send space probes to different planets....even use satelites to pin point people walking their dogs on the street....but we can't find bin laden....or protect children from their abusive parents....or vote without a hitch....instead we use our technology to drive cars in a circle 500 times, kill our oxygen suppies by cutting down the rain forests and create drugs to help men with their *ahem* hardening issues....

another rant i have is all the propaganda telling me i'm not beautiful....
because i'm not blonde....
because i'm not skinny....
because my teeth aren't the straightest teeth in the world....
because my hair is short and a little frizzy....
because i'm tall with big feet
because i snore....
because my nails are short from biting them....
because i don't look like all the "pretty girls" on t.v then i must not be pretty....

well they can all fuck off because i'm pretty....i'm big and beautiful and you can take your skinny-anorexic-one-foot-in-the-grave-cos-i'm-starving-myself-you-hate-me-cos-i'm-beautiful models and stick it....beauty is in the eye of the beholder so stop trying to define it with you're crap....

and this isn't much of a rant, but something funny i heard....when BYU (brigham young university) defeated Notre Dame a few weeks back....it was the "game of the year"....the mormons vs the catholics....and when BYU prevailed....it was shown in a comic strip the notre dame coaches yelling at the players "YOU DIDN'T PRAY HARD ENOUGH!!!!"....which i thought was funny....which brough up another question....

with all the trying to ban or change the pledge of allegence to omit the phrase "under god"....would we also have to change our currency because it states "in god we trust"???....when would enough be enough???

well....i think right now....enough is enough from the mind of ro....i just wanted to ramble....
